Dog and cat ageing is more complicated than the old idea that one animal year always equals seven human years. Young dogs and cats mature very quickly, and later ageing varies by species, breed, size and health.
Our dog and cat numbers use a simple life-stage curve to give a rough equivalent. They are meant for curiosity, not veterinary decisions.
Fairy, vampire, elf and dragon years
Those ones are easy: Una made them up.
There is no scientific fairy lifespan and no accepted dragon ageing standard. The fantasy results are clearly labelled as entertainment so we can have fun without pretending they are real facts.

How the dog and cat estimates are different
The dog and cat results do not multiply your human age by seven. Instead, the simple curve gives much more weight to the first two animal years because dogs and cats mature quickly at the start of life.
After that, the estimate adds animal age more slowly. It is still only a broad comparison. A small dog and a giant dog can age very differently, and individual animals do not follow a calculator perfectly.
How the fantasy ages are calculated
Each fantasy creature has a fixed Fun Age Calculator multiplier. Unicorn years use Una's 8.75-to-1 scale. Fairy, vampire, elf, dragon and wizard ages use their own made-up multipliers so every result feels different.
The formulas stay consistent, which means the same birthday will always get the same fantasy-age result on the same day.
