Your age in hours is the number of complete 60-minute blocks that have elapsed since the date and time you were born. If you know your birth time, enter it to make the calculation more precise.
If you only know your birth date, the calculator begins at midnight at the start of that date. The result is still a good estimate, but someone born at 11:30 PM would be almost 24 hours younger than the midnight assumption on the first day.
Why birth time makes a difference
A calendar birthday tells us the day you were born, not the exact moment. That missing time barely matters when age is measured in years, but it matters much more when you are counting individual hours.
The result tells you whether your birth time was included or whether midnight was assumed. That way the calculator does not present an estimated result as if it were exact.
Calendar days and 24-hour periods are different
A calendar day runs from one local midnight to the next. An elapsed hour is always a fixed 60 minutes. Daylight saving time can make a local calendar day contain 23 or 25 elapsed hours, so multiplying your days old by 24 will not always match an elapsed-hour calculation perfectly.
This page counts elapsed time for the hour total and separately shows your calendar days old. Those are two valid measurements, but they answer slightly different questions.
What if I was born in another time zone?
Your browser knows your current time zone, but this simple calculator does not ask where you were born. If your birth time came from a place with a different time zone, interpreting that clock time in your current zone can shift the answer by several hours.
