Calculate your age in weeks

Una says:
How many weeks old am I?
Your age in weeks is based on the number of calendar days that have passed since your birth date. Every seven complete days make one full week. Any days that do not make another full week are shown separately.
Someone who has lived 10,003 days, for example, has completed 1,429 full weeks with no need to guess how long a month was along the way.
Why weeks are simpler than months
A week always has seven days. Calendar months vary from 28 to 31 days, so a month cannot be converted into an exact number of weeks with one fixed multiplier.
This calculator first counts your elapsed calendar days, including leap days, and then divides that total into seven-day blocks. That gives you a clean week count and any remaining days.
Do leap years change the result?
Yes. February 29 is a real calendar day, so it is included whenever it falls between your birth date and today. Over a lifetime, those extra leap days can shift the remainder in your week calculation.
If you want to see the underlying day total directly, use the days old calculator.
Why months times four does not equal your age in weeks
Four weeks contain 28 days, but most months are longer than that. A 31-day month contains four full weeks plus three more days. Even February normally contains exactly four weeks only in a non-leap year.
For that reason, your age in complete months and your age in full weeks are two different ways of describing the same lifetime. Neither should be created by simply multiplying the other.
Your next 1,000-week milestone
The result also finds your next age that is an exact multiple of 1,000 weeks. One thousand weeks is 7,000 days, so these milestones do not normally land on your birthday.
They can be fun dates to put on a calendar. If you have already passed 1,000 weeks, the calculator moves on to 2,000, then 3,000 and so on.
Weeks are handy for short and long stretches of time
Weeks are commonly used for pregnancy, newborn ages, school terms, fitness plans and countdowns because seven-day blocks line up naturally with the days of the week. Seeing your entire age that way is less common, which is part of the fun.
For a calendar-based view, use the months calculator. For your familiar age in years, months and days, return to the main age calculator.
Age in weeks questions
How do I find how many weeks old I am?
Enter your date of birth. The calculator counts the calendar days since your birthday and divides them into complete seven-day weeks plus remaining days.
How many days are in a week?
A week always contains seven days, so your full weeks are based on your total elapsed calendar days divided by seven.
Do leap years affect my age in weeks?
Yes. A leap day adds one more elapsed day, so it can change your week count or the number of days left over.
Why does my age in weeks not match months times four?
A calendar month is longer than four weeks on average, and month lengths vary. Weeks are always seven days, while months follow the calendar.
